I have been with Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital since 2006. I have a husband Adam 3 kids Wyatt, Dawson, and Khloe and 2 dogs Bert and Fudge that keep me on my toes. I love spending time with my family and when I'm not doing that you will find me with my nose in a book.

Kirsten Kiecker, CVT

I am currently a Certified Veterinary Technician at DLAH. I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN in May of 2019 and have been employed here since then! I grew up in Wadena, MN and now currently reside in Perham, MN with my husband. My hobbies include hiking, kayaking and going to the gym. I currently have 3 cats; Luna, Jade & Kallie - who are all little balls of fire! I also have 2 dogs! Murphy, my first dog, whom I rescued shortly after starting at DLAH, and the newest addition to my family, Sunny, a golden retriever! I can’t wait to meet both you and your pets at our clinic!

Tina Kraft, CVT

I graduated from NDSU in veterinary technology in 2002. I moved to Appleton, WI where I worked at a referral clinic for two years until I met my husband. I moved back home, started working at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital, got married and had two girls. I have worked at DLAH for 15.5 years now. I live on a hobby farm with horses, cats, dogs, ducks, bunnies and chickens. I have two girls who are growing fast and becoming more beautiful every day. I am the superintendent of our Sunday school, I sing in the church choir, I volunteer in 4-H, and I am the secretary of our schools' PTO. I enjoy canoeing, biking, riding horse and being outdoors. I dislike spiders and being center of attention/speaking in front of people.

Tammy Januszewski, VT

I graduated from NDSU in 1982 and started working at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital. I’ve enjoyed working will all sizes of pets (cows and horses too). Every day is a different and interesting day at the DL Animal Hospital. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat in my household along with my husband Bill.

Ashley Jackson, CVT

I grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN. Following graduating from Vermilion Community College in Ely, MN in December 2021, I returned to Detroit Lakes and began my career as a veterinary technician. I have two cats, Chip and Willow, that rescued me and are little balls of energy. When I’m not helping animals, you can find me fishing, hunting, hiking, cooking, and spending time with my family, friends and their pets.

Raina Fritz, CVT

Raina attended NDSU and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2009. She completed her internship at the Indianapolis Zoo and has worked as a veterinary technician at the Red River Zoo and at small/large animal practices. Raina was also a pet groomer for several years while living in Fargo. She now has a small farm in Detroit Lakes where she lives with her dogs and cats. Raina raises pigs, chickens and ducks. In her spare time, Raina enjoys being active outdoors including disc golfing, kayaking, fishing, and camping. 

Hallie Redding, CVT

I am originally from Barnesville, MN. I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN in May of 2023. I chose to do my internship closer to home here at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital. I am now employed at DLAH as a Veterinary Technician and love every minute of it! Not only do I have such a strong passion for helping animals of all sizes, but I also enjoy traveling and everything outdoors. Activities such as playing softball, hiking, and rock climbing are a few of my favorites. 

Sofia Bly

I grew up on a dairy farm in Waubun, MN and now currently live in Detroit Lakes, MN. In May 2024, I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. I completed my veterinary technician internship at Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital, and I am now employed here as a veterinary technician! I have 2 cats: Leroy and Leonard, along with 2 dogs: Mickey and Chester. Some of my hobbies include going on walks, pickleball, and spending time with my friends and family.

Jenni Kelstrup

Graduated from Olympic College with an Associate of Arts before studying at Washington State University and Bemidji State University with a focus on Animal Science and Microbiology. Traveler, hobbyist photographer, and lover of all things animals.

Lizzie Bannerman

I am originally from Park Rapids, MN and currently reside there.  I graduated from NDSU in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I first became a veterinary assistant working in the world of equine dentistry which was full of so many amazing experiences. After graduation, I decided to change courses and work with dogs and cats and I am loving every minute of it! When I’m not taking care of puppies and kitties, I enjoy fishing, kayaking, riding horses, and of course playing with my two cats: Ralph and Bruce, and my little dog: Henry.

Tonya Borough

I grew up in Park Rapids MN. My animal journey started on my grandparent’s farm raising Quarter horses and Paint horses. We always had dogs growing up and after graduating high school my love for animals turned to my dogs. I started competing in Dog agility, assisting with dog training and I enjoy dock diving during the summer months. My thirst for knowledge has led me into animal care where I have fallen in love with the veterinary world! Which is how I got to where I am today! I currently live in Perham MN with my husband and we share the love of our 6 Dogs. We were wed in July 2023 our future goal is to find some land and start our own hobby farm!

Kalea Blanchard

I am from Fargo, ND and currently attend NDSU for a Bachelor's in Animal Science, with the goal of going to vet school. I started at DLAH in July of 2023 and have loved it here. I found my love of working with animals while volunteering with NDSU Bison Strides and have been helping them for 6 years now. In my free time I love being outside, hiking, swimming and spending time with my family, friends and furbabies, Harley and Whiskey.

Harley Lardy

I am originally from Bowman, North Dakota. I graduated NDSU in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I moved to Dent, MN in the Fall of 2023 and started working at the hospital that winter. When I am not at the hospital, I enjoy helping out on the ranch and playing with my three dogs Spot, Seeder, Diesel, and my cat Kevin.

Audrey Tovson

Forever ago I started "on - the - job" multi-task training at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital under the guidance of Drs. Olson and Westlake. I have had the good fortune to be involved with large animals and small (including many varieties of family pets), as well as with the operation of the business. Now, as receptionist, I have the responsibility and privilege of working with our clients and patients to connect them to the care they need. Our doctors and staff are a great team for me to work with - what more could a person ask for?!

Melissa Gorz

I have been with Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital since June 2023, working part time as a client services representative while I complete my Ph.D. in Educational and Organizational Leadership. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my husband and fur babies, playing video games, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and cooking and baking.

Rachelle Kern

Hello my name is Rachelle, I grew up in Verndale, MN, and have resided in Park Rapids for the last 20 years. I enjoy the lakes, camping, bonfires, concerts, quiet time reading and being Grandma to my 6 grandkids!! I have 4 cats, 3 dogs, and 1 horse that I spoil to my full ability. I joined Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital in June 2024.
