Veterinary Technicians

Stacy Odegaard, LVT

I grew up in Fargo, ND, and have deep roots in the Cormorant Lakes area. I graduated from NDSU with a degree in Veterinary Technology and minor concentration in business. In my 30+ years of employment at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital, I have dedicated my life to improving the well being of animals and enhancing the human-animal bond. I enjoy living in the country caring for a variety of animals. As many people are aware, my passion is my quarter horses!

Kirsten Peterson, CVT

I am currently employed as a Certified Veterinary Technician at DLAH. I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN in May of 2019 and have been employed here since then! I grew up in Wadena, MN but currently reside in Hawley, MN. I enjoy being outdoors, going on adventures and exploring new places with my best friend, Murphy, who is pictured in the photo with me. I adopted him after he was found as a stray and brought into our clinic for medical help. I also have 3 cats; Luna, Jade & Kallie - whom are all little balls of fire and always keep my on my toes. I can’t wait to meet both you and your pets at our clinic!

Brooke Vickmark, CVT

Brooke is originally from Detroit Lakes. She graduated from Argosy University in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduation, Brooke and her husband Doug moved home to Detroit Lakes and later to Fargo where they started their careers. Brooke joined Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital in 2015, with special interest in lab work and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and running. Brookes’ home is filled even more with her dogs Skud, Hulk, and Reese; her cats Sylvester, Pepe Le Pew, and Cheddar; 3 cockatiels, and too many chickens to count.

Tina Kraft, CVT

I graduated from NDSU in veterinary technology in 2002. I moved to Appleton, WI where I worked at a referral clinic for two years until I met my husband. I moved back home, started working at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital, got married and had two girls. I have worked at DLAH for 15.5 years now. I live on a hobby farm with horses, cats, dogs, ducks, bunnies and chickens. I have two girls who are growing fast and becoming more beautiful every day. I am the superintendant of our Sunday school, I sing in the church choir, I volunteer in 4-H, and I am the secretary of our schools' PTO. I enjoy canoeing, biking, riding horse and being outdoors. I dislike spiders and being center of attention/speaking in front of people.

Tammy Januszewski, VT

I graduated from NDSU in 1982 and started working at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital. I’ve enjoyed working will al sizes of pets (cows and horses too). Every day is a different and interesting day at the DL Animal Hospital. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat in my household along with my husband Bill.

Tiffany Brown, CVT

Tiffany Brown grew up in Hawley, MN and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1999. She then attended North Dakota State University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduation Tiffany moved to Portland, OR where she practiced in a small animal hospital setting and veterinary dermatology. She has been at the DL Animal Hospital since 2007 and also assists a traveling veterinary dermatologist. She and her family of 3 girls, husband, 2 standard poodles, and a kitty enjoy hiking, cooking, and relaxing bonfires on the weekends.

Nicole Strandberg, CVT

I grew up in Moorhead, MN and attended NDSU, graduating in 1999 with a BS in Veterinary Technology. I have been a veterinary technician with Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital since 2005. My favorite part of being a technician is being able to love on all the critters that come in the door as if they were my own. I also really enjoy educating clients on the care their pets receive, as well as drawing blood, placing IV catheters and assisting in surgery.  My home family includes my amazing husband and three great children. I live on a hobby farm, this is my dream come true! We have several dogs, cats, horses and a pot belly pig. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends, watching my girls barrel race and my son tinker on and ride his “big boy toys”. I also enjoy doing activities around the farm and going to the lake.

Receptionists

Audrey Tovson

Forever ago I started "on - the - job" multi-task training at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital under the guidance of Drs. Olson and Westlake. I have had the good fortune to be involved with large animals and small (including many varieties of family pets), as well as with the operation of the business. Now, as receptionist, I have the responsibility and privilege of working with our clients and patients to connect them to the care they need. Our doctors and staff are a great team for me to work with - what more could a person ask for?!
