Dr. Samantha L. Zehr 

Samantha L. Zehr, DVM grew up in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2014 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She started working at Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital in June of 2014.

Dr. Zehr enjoys spending her free time with her kids and her pets. She also enjoys riding her horses and reading books.

Dr. Savannah C. Brosius

Dr. Savannah C. Brosius

Savannah C. Brosius, BVetMed, cVMA, grew up in Audubon, MN. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2015. After spending some time in Duluth, MN, she joined the team at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital in April 2017. She holds certification in Veterinary Acupuncture which was obtained through the Curacore Academy.

She likes to focus on creating fear free visits while helping pets with underlying medical conditions through various medical techniques including acupuncture.

Dr. Brosius enjoys spending her time with her husband, Trevor, and her daughters Arya and Ava. In her spare time she enjoys going for long walks with the pups and family, reading and listening to audiobooks, and baking is a big passion!

Dr. Alexa Weyer, DVM

Dr. Alexa Weyer, DVM

Dr. Alexa Weyer, DVM grew up in Snohomish, Washington and developed an early love for animals of all kinds. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Dakota, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Weyer went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.

Dr. Weyer has a special interest in the care of exotic pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, and other non-traditional companions. She particularly enjoys providing wellness care, treating ill patients, and performing surgery for exotic species, and is passionate about helping owners keep their unique pets healthy and comfortable.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Weyer enjoys spending time with her husband and two step-children, cheering on her favorite sports teams, reading a good book, caring for her pets, or riding her horse.
