Veterinary Acupuncture
|
Veterinary acupuncture involves the precise placement of very fine, sterile needles into specific points on your pet’s body to help improve their health and well-being. Unlike traditional or Eastern approaches, the CuraCore method is rooted in Western medical science, emphasizing neuroanatomy and myofascial trigger points, rather than mystical energy channels (meridians).

How does acupuncture work?

Acupuncture activates your pet’s natural healing processes by stimulating the nervous system to release pain releasing chemicals, such as endorphins. It enhances blood flow to injured or sore areas, supporting tissue repair and reducing inflammation.
Acupuncture relaxes tight muscles and fascia, releasing pain and improving your pets mobility. It modulates nerve activity, which can help regulate organ function and reduce symptoms, like nausea or anxiety.

How often do I treat my pet with Acupuncture?
Your pets first visit will take about 1 hour. Each following treatment will be near 30 minutes after the initial appointment. Your pet will need treatments depending on their medical need, which will be defined and customized for your family at the first visit.
During the first appointment, your pet will receive a thorough examination to determine the best treatment plan for their health concerns. Followed by implementing their customized plan with gentle treatment, which may include dry needling, electroacupuncture and or red light therapy.
